The Center for Psychiatric Neuroscience (CPN) creates an academic environment that fosters the establishment of independent research programs of junior faculty investigators (Project Principal Investigators). The CPN provides Project Principal Investigators with scientific and career advice, as well as training in grants management, from senior faculty who are established researchers in closely related fields of study.

Neuroscience Research DayNeuroscience Research Day is an annual event that features a keynote speaker and poster exhibitions. It is jointly sponsored by the CPN, The UMC Department of Psychiatry, and the Mississippi Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience.
Undergraduate Summer Research ProgramThe CPN's Neuroscience Scholars Summer Program is an undergraduate summer research internship that provides the opportunity for undergraduates to explore their interest in neuroscience research.
