Research Interests

Dr. Kwentus’ work has focused primarily on project feasibility, milestones, and methodology. He has worked on projects in all age categories including geriatric and pediatric populations. Previous protocol design and strategic planning activities included postoperative pain, chronic pain management, acute stroke, dementia, cognitive disorders, schizophrenia, affective disorders, and other major psychiatric disorders. Dr. Kwentus has had primary responsibility for an expert panel authoring a protocol and has participated in protocol development on 12 multicenter projects. He has conducted 12 investigator rating scales training sessions and presented the protocol at 8 investigator meetings. He has participated in project start up meetings for 20 multicenter projects. Responsibilities have included CRA support and training, medical monitoring, and data base review. Dr. Kwentus has specialized in patient recruitment and has consulted individually with investigators and personally visited over 50 research sites.
